Caricature sketches drawn at EOH Conference

Lindy Scott from Con­cep­tu­al Eyes con­tact­ed me to join them at a two day event for EOH tak­ing place at the uber styl­ish Equinox Venue in Joburg.
All the del­e­gates were tasked to find their car­i­ca­tures on the walls. It was an amaz­ing expe­ri­ence see­ing every­one rec­og­nize them­selves and pose for self­ies. 
The draw­ings were all dig­i­tized by the Con­cep­tu­al Eyes team and sent to the clients.

Aegir Project Brewery Noordhoek Caricatures

Rory from the Aegir Project Brew­ery in Noord­hoek booked me to sketch car­i­ca­tures at the brew­ery’s 4th birth­day bash.
It’s one of my favourite gigs of the year as there was a fan­tas­tic blue­grass band called Grav­el Roads play­ing all my favourite old timey tunes while I draw car­i­ca­tures of the guests.

I will def­i­nite­ly be vis­it­ing Aegir again soon.

Caricaturist sketches at Vega Open Day

I attend­ed the final Vega Open Day of 2019 in Octo­ber. I’ve been sketch­ing car­i­ca­tures at all the Cape Town Vega Open days for the last two years.
It’s such an inspir­ing place to work, and the cam­pus is brim­ming with cre­ative ener­gy.

Caricatures sketched at Bilinda and Juan Pierre’s wedding

I had a lot of fun sketch­ing the guests at Bilin­da and Juan Pier­re’s wed­ding at La Ferme Derik in Paarl.
I love it when the guests crowd around and joke and laugh and this wed­ding was the epit­o­me of the per­fect crowd.
What a fun group of guests and what a great venue.
I sketched 95 guests in 5 hours.

Sketching Caricatures at Starbucks at Home launch Johannesburg

Thanks to Jil­lian, Sara and the rest of the team from Zebra Square for book­ing me to sketch car­i­ca­tures at the Star­bucks at Home Launch in Johan­nes­burg.
It was an absolute marathon gig where I drew dig­i­tal car­i­ca­tures of the guests and mailed the sketch­es direct­ly to them.

Caricatures at Jay-Allen and Wesley’s wedding Die Woud Caledon

My favourite wed­ding venue out­side of the Stellenbosch/ Cape Town area is Die Woud, where I have sketched car­i­ca­tures at dozens of wed­dings.
Locat­ed just out­side Cale­don in a wood­land for­est, the venue is an exquis­ite mod­ern glass build­ing which looks absolute­ly mag­i­cal at night.

This wed­ding was an absolute stand out with its sub­tle hints to Star Wars- done in a very classy way. No Stormtroop­er out­fits or Chew­bac­ca cos­tumes.
